Chez l'étoile de mer commune Asterias rubens, le nombre de bras est habituellement de 5. Sur cette photo, il y a un bras supplémentaire un peu plus petit que les autres. Cette anomalie est peut-être liée à une régénération après amputation ou à une pathologie
