Coquille jaune verdâtre ou marron ; tours déprimés-coniques, plutôt convexes ; dernier verticille large, comprimé, milieu obtus anguleux ; calus ventral petit, blanc, arrondi ; columelle légèrement anguleuse en dessous ; lèvre externe orange, étroite, plutôt arrondie.
Détermination
Moyennement difficile.
Espèces proches
H. occidentalis a une coquille un peu moins épaisse, les verticilles augmentent moins progressivement et la lèvre externe est plus élargie.

Toute l'année.
Biologie – éthologie
H. guadeloupensis est un escargot terrestre tropical.

Espèce endémique de Martinique et de Guadeloupe.
