Punaise brun foncé. Tête quadrangulaire sans sillon longitudinal, l’espace entre les yeux plus court que le bord postérieur du pronotum non denté. Antennes de 4 articles, le 3e de même longueur que le 2eet le 1er article épineux. Fémurs postérieurs élargi avec 2 grandes dents et un groupe de plus petites, fémurs médians avec une dent et les antérieurs non. Tibias jaunâtres plus foncés aux extrémités. Bord antéro-latéral du pronotum denté.
Détermination :
Moyennement difficile.
Espèces proches :
Parmi les punaises brunes Pseudophloeinae avec le 3e article antennaire aussi long que le 2e, elle se distingue des Coriomeris par le bord postérieur de son pronotum non denté. Plus grande et le corps plus large que Loxocnemis dentator, elle a des dents plus développées que celle-ci, sur les bords antéro-latéraux du pronotum.
Période d’observation :
Mars à septembre.
Biologie-éthologie :
Cette espèce vit uniquement sur des Fabaceae élancées ou arbustives comme les astragales, les genêts, les sainfoins ou le spartier, dont elle pique les gousses, pour ponctionner à travers les graines en cours de maturité. Les adultes hivernent dans la litière et pondent dans celle-ci en mai ou directement sur les plantes, puis la nouvelle génération apparait en juillet.
Biogéographie et écologie :
Espèce méditerranéenne s’étendant vers l’est jusqu’en Iran. On la trouve aussi en Suisse et au sud de l’Allemagne. Elle semble absente d’Afrique du Nord. En France, sa distribution est méditerranéo-atlantique, mais elle est plus commune dans l’aire méditerranéenne, et se raréfie dans l’arrière-pays. Elle semble apprécier plus particulièrement les terrains sablonneux des coteaux secs bien exposés au soleil.

Corresponds to a report on the basis of at least one observation proved within a period of 10 years (20 years for little-known invertebrates) preceding the year and no presumption of extinction since obtaining the last data nor doubt on reproductive and implemented nature of this population. For migratory species, the presence indicated concerns areas of reproduction.
Probable presence
This status is based on one or more of the following criteria:
search of species incomplete but presence of supportive environments;
ecology of the species consistent with the hypothesis of his presence;
the last reliable sighting is older than 10 years compared to the reference date, no recent specific research and no presumption of extinction from that date [vertebrates, invertebrates and plants well studied (rhopalocera, grasshoppers, dragonflies ...)] ;
the last reliable observation being older than 20 years, no recent specific research and no presumption of extinction from that date [poorly known taxa: fungus, many invertebrates...].
Probable or certain absence
This point covers the absence, more difficult by nature to demonstrate than presence. This status is based on one or more of the following criteria:
intensive but unsuccessful targeted research;
lack of adequate environments;
unobserved species while its presence is easily detected;
unlikely presence for historical or biogeographical reasons.
This status must be assigned to a department in which the presence of the species is casual.
Absence due to a proven extinction
Particular case of absence due to a proven extinction less than a half century ago (older disappearances are treated as "no probable or definite").

In the state of knowledge, we can not comment on the presence or absence in the current department. This is the default status when not comprised in one of the previous categories or whenever there is doubt.
