Taille : 11-14 mm
Diagnose :
Corps large, allongé, assez convexe, glabre et luisant avec la tête noire et le pronotum noir avec deux bandes longitudinales rouges. Elytres brun-jaune avec un dessin noir formé d'une bande suturale complète, de deux bandes humérales n'atteignant pas le milieu et d'une bande transversale postmédiane. Les pattes sont brun-rouge. Les antennes fortement dentées à partir du 4e article n'atteignent pas le bord postérieur du pronotum. Le pronotum est peu convexe, à bords arrondis, un peu plus large que long avec les pointes postérieures longues et un peu divergentes. La ponctuation du pronotum est forte et dense.
Identification : Facile.
Confusions possibles :
La coloration est caractéristique. Betarmon bisbimaculatus présente une coloration assez proche mais ne dépasse pas 6 mm.
Périodes d'observation (adultes) : Mai.
Biologie-éthologie :
La larve se développe aux dépens de racines de végétaux variés. Les adultes se rencontrent sur les arbres et les plantes basses.
Biogéographie-écologie :
Bois sablonneux de l'Europe centrale et boréale.

The map presents a reference distribution layer of the species at the scale of departments and marine sectors. The presence and absence data were established by expertise within a network of partners. This reference distribution is used in the validation process of the SINP data at the INPN level.
Corresponds to a report on the basis of at least one observation proved within a period of 10 years (20 years for little-known invertebrates) preceding the year and no presumption of extinction since obtaining the last data nor doubt on reproductive and implemented nature of this population.
