Corps cylindrique, trapu, glabre, la face supérieure est noire, brillante, avec les élytres entièrement bordés de jaune, suture comprise. La tête, l'apex des antennes et le scutellum sont noirs. Les pattes sont jaunes, plus ou moins fortement rembrunies. Le pronotum est très transverse, noir avec deux petites taches jaunes, rétréci en arrondi vers l'avant, finement et densément ponctué. Les élytres sont densément couverts de gros points désordonnés. Les antennes sont fines et atteignent le milieu des élytres chez le mâle, leur base chez la femelle.

Espèce phytophage dont la biologie larvaire n'est pas connue. Les adultes se trouvent sur les Genista, notamment corsica et salzmanni.

Cette espèce, endémique de Corse et de Sardaigne, se rencontre dans les milieux ouverts de moyenne montagne.
