Corps cylindrique, trapu, pubescent, la face supérieure est testacée, peu brillante avec le pronotum un peu plus foncé et une fascie transversale ainsi que la suture élytrale noires. La tête est brun foncé, les antennes ont la base testacée et sont obscurcies à partir du cinquième article. Les pattes sont testacées avec les tarses bruns. Le pronotum est très transverse, rétréci en arrondi vers l'avant et l'arrière, fortement et densément ponctué. Les élytres sont densément couverts de gros points formant des stries régulières. Les antennes sont fines et n'atteignent pas la base des élytres.

Période d'observation
Les adultes s'observent de mai à juillet.
Biologie-éthologie
Espèce phytophage dont la biologie larvaire n'est pas connue. Les adultes se trouvent sur les Tamarix.
Biogéographie-écologie
Cette espèce se rencontre dans les milieux littoraux de Corse et de Sardaigne.

ecology of the species consistent with the hypothesis of his presence;
the last reliable sighting is older than 10 years compared to the reference date, no recent specific research and no presumption of extinction from that date [vertebrates, invertebrates and plants well studied (rhopalocera, grasshoppers, dragonflies ...)] ;
the last reliable observation being older than 20 years, no recent specific research and no presumption of extinction from that date [poorly known taxa: fungus, many invertebrates...].
Probable or certain absence
