Taxon naturally restricted to an area slightly larger than the geographical area considered but whose main populations are located in the geographical area considered. For overseas, this status is applied to regional endemism: for French Guiana = endemic of the Guiana plateau, for the French West Indies = endemic of the Lesser Antilles, for Mayotte = endemic of the Comoros, for Reunion = endemic of the Mascarene Islands, for the sub-Antarctic islands = endemic of the South Indian Ocean Province.
