French Guiana, a French territory, and Amapá, a Brazilian state, are situated in an inter-tropical area in South America. They provide an excellent climate to the presence of malaria vectors, and particularly the main vector in South America, Anopheles darlingi. This database is a collection of different occurences of Anopheles in French Guiana and in the state of Amapá, between 1902 and 2014. Its aim is to complete the limited knowledge of the distribution of Anopheles in this area, where the cross border situation is major barrier to the elimination of Malaria.
