Description

Species-poor pioneer communities of calcareous cliffs and rocks of the lowlands of middle and northern Europe dominated by ferns, in particular, Asplenium ruta-muraria-Asplenium trichomanes communities of limestone fissures known from the Jura, the Werra and Saale regions, the Sauerland Massenkalk, the Harz, Belgium, France, and the boreonemoral alvars of ™land, Gotland and V„sterg”tland, Asplenium lepidum formations of eastern Central Europe, Cystopteris fragilis formations of more shady rocks.
