Description

Mesophile and xerophile Nardus stricta-dominated or -rich grasslands of Atlantic or sub-Atlantic lowland, collinar and montane regions of the mainland of Europe, extending north to western Jutland, northern Jutland, nemoral and boreonemoral southern Sweden, nemoral southern Norway and oceanic southern boreal Norway, east to Poland, Lithuania, the Bohemian Quadrangle, the Carpathians and the Austrian pre-Alps, southwest to Asturias and Cantabria; the species cortŠge includes Polygala vulgaris, Hypericum maculatum f. glabrum, Galium saxatile, Carex panicea, Hieracium umbellatum, Hypochoeris maculata, Genista tinctoria, Arnica montana, Campanula rotundifolia, Plantago lanceolata, Potentilla erecta, Thymus pulegioides.
