Classification des habitats du Paléarctique (2001)

Description

Mesotrophic and meso-eutrophic Alnus glutinosa swamp woods of middle European and western Siberian, nemoral and subboreal, marshy depressions, with Carex elongata, Thelypteris palustris, Dryopteris cristata, Osmunda regalis, Solanum dulcamara, Calystegia sepium, Ribes nigrum, Calamagrostis canescens and often, in acidocline variants, Betula pubescens. The constancy of Carex elongata is characteristic on the continent, less so in Britain. Tall sedges, Carex paniculata, Carex acutiformis, Carex elata, often dominate the herb layer in the most humid types.
