Description

Arborescent matorral of siliceous substrates of the Iberian peninsula, France, Italy, the large western Mediterranean islands and Mediterranean North Africa dominated by Quercus ilex or Quercus rotundifolia, usually with Erica arborea and Arbutus unedo. Detailed habitats can be coded by placing at the fourth, fifth and sixth decimal places of 32.112 the second, third and fourth digits after the decimal point of 45.3 that characterize the corresponding evergreen oak forest.
