Description

Arborescent matorral of calcareous substrates of the Iberian peninsula, France, Italy, the large western Mediterranean islands and Mediterranean North Africa dominated by Quercus ilex, Quercus rotundifolia or Quercus coccifera. For Quercus ilex or Quercus rotundifolia matorrals, detailed habitats can be coded by placing at the fourth, fifth and sixth decimal places of 32.113 the second, third and fourth digits after the decimal point of 45.3 that characterize the corresponding evergreen oak forest. For Italian Quercus coccifera formations, use 32.1135.
