Bog hollows dominated by Sphagnum cuspidatum, characteristic of Atlantic and sub-Atlantic Western and Central Europe, of Baltic regions, of southern Fennoscandia; associates include Sphagnum balticum in Fennoscandia and Baltic regions, Sphagnum recurvum in more Atlantic regions.
