Offshore waters of the Atlantic temperate region, including the North Sea, the English Channel, the Irish Sea and the Bay of Biscay, bordering the coasts of Scandinavia south of the Arctic Circle, those of the Faeroes, of the British Isles and of their outlying archipelagoes, and those of mainland Europe south to Galicia.
