Description

Spring communities of montane, sometimes collinar, lowland or subalpine well-lit, lime-poor waters of the Alpine system, the western and central European Hercynian ranges and neighbouring regions dominated by mosses, in particular, by Philonotis fontana, with Bryum pseudotriquetum, Calliergonella cuspitata, Dicranella palustris, Drepanocladus exannulatus, Galium palustre, Montia fontana, Stellaria alsine.
