Description

Dry closed thermophilous grasslands of middle European or Mediterranean lowlands and hills, up to the montane zone, dominated by perennial grasses; steppic grasslands of continental affinities occurring under subcontinental conditions within the middle European nemoral and boreonemoral forest zones, in the Alpine system and in the sub-Mediterranean zone of the Balkans.
