Remarques

zos04 : Molinier (1960: 244) described the Posidonietum oceanicae in Table VII that contained three relevés of the Posidonietum oceanicae s. str. together with the relevés of a separate association (of algal communities), the 'Udoteo-Peyssonnelietium'. In Table VIII these two associations were classified into the 'Posidion Br. Bl. 1931' that results in validation of the latter alliance under the name 'Posidonion oceanicae Braun-Blanquet ex Molinier 1960'. The Posidonietum oceanicae Molinier 1960 is herewith selected as the type of the alliance (lectotypus hoc loco; Molinier 1960: 244). Posidonia oceanica is the only character species of this alliance. (JPT, LM) Giaccone & Di Martino (1997) classified the communities with Posidonia oceanica in the Zosterion. (JPT).
