Description

Pioneer and subclimax Populus tremula formations of plains and hills of nemoral Europe, in particular the North Sea-Baltic plain and lower Hercynian slopes, within the range of Atlantic and sub-Atlantic acidophilous oak woods, and of the adjacent large alluvial systems, such as that of the Po.
