Description

Large beds of gravels, pebbles, boulders or mixed coarse and fine sediments constituting outwash fans, alluvial fans, sandar (sandur), deposited and criss-crossed by braided rivers of the Palaearctic region, characteristic, in particular, of boreal and arctic lands with intense fluvio-glacial deposition.
