Description

Upper supra-Mediterranean and montane alder galleries of Corsica developed along torrential streams in the 700-1300 m altitudinal range, usually narrow and sometimes discontinuous, dominated by Alnus glutinosa, sometimes associated with Alnus cordata, with Fraxinus ornus, Ilex aquifolium, Erica terminalis, Alnus viridis ssp. suaveolens, Rhamnus alpinus, Hypericum hircinum, Athyrium filix-femina, Gentiana asclepiadea, Carex microcarpa, Osmunda regalis, Scrophularia oblongifolia, Carex remota, Brachypodium sylvaticum, Blechnum spicant, Helleborus lividus ssp. corsicus, Ranunculus lanuginosus, Mycelis muralis, Geranium nodosum, Cyclamen repandum, Cyclamen hederifolium, Allium ursinum.
