Description

Formations of the alluvial banks of small streams, characteristic of collinar and low montane levels of the Alpine system and the Hercynian ranges of Western and Central Europe and of northern Eastern Europe, constituted by Petasites hybridus (Petasites officinalis), Petasites albus, Petasites kablikianus (Petasites glabratus), sometimes by Chaerophyllum hirsutum or Equisetum telmateia, occasionally accompanied by various tall herbs, in particular, Cirsium oleraceum, or by ferns.
