Description

Fir-dominated Abies alba-Picea abies forests of the German, Swiss and Austrian outer Alps and their piedmont, and of the Carpathians, recorded from the Slovakian Carpathians and the Apuseni mountains, with Frangula alnus and an herb and moss layer rich in Vaccinium myrtillus, Bazzania trilobata, Blechnum spicant, Dryopteris carthusiana agg., Oxalis acetosella, Sphagnum palustre, Sphagnum girgensohnii, Hylocomium splendens, Polytrichum formosum, Thuidium tamariscinum.
