Description

Bryophyte dominated spring communities of alpine and subalpine well-lit, lime-poor cold waters of the Alps, the Carpathians, the Dinarides, the northern Hellenides, the Pyrenees and the great Hercynian ranges dominated by Philonotis seriata and Bryum schleicheri, with a vascular species cortŠge often dominated by Saxifraga stellaris.
