Commentaires

This plant community is adapted to the wet, saturated conditions of waterfalls, rapids and streams. Plants can be found growing on the vertical rock faces of waterfalls or on large boulders in streams. However, the flora of this community differs from the true aquatic flora in the species composition and growth form. There is an abundance of ferns, mosses, lichens, bromeliads, short low shrubs and other herbaceous growth, and Lycopodium and Selaginella.
