Description des postes typologiques

Occupying very small areas (totalling less than one thosand acres) near the summits of the highest peaks of Martinique, Mont Pelée, Piton Géle, and the Carbet Pitons. The canopy is wind-sheared and tight, from 5- 12m tall. Typical species are Clusia plukenetii, Charianthus nodosus, Rondeletia stereocarpa, Didymopanax attenuatum, Prestoea montana, Podocarpus coriaceus, Cyathea arborea, Dunalia arborescens.
