Description des postes typologiques

Estuarine and marine seagrass beds dominated by Ruppia maritima, often nearly monospecific but sometimes with other species, including Najas guadelupensis, Halodule beaudettii, and Cymodocea filiformis.

Cuba, Bahamas, Puerto Rico, Lesser Antilles, Caribbean region.

Commentaires

This vegetation type tolerates well the highly saline waters of shallow muddy lagoons not colonized by mangroves.
