Description

Terrestrial communities colonizing the bottom of waterbodies that are completely and recurrently emptied of water for part of the time, such as Irish turloughs. The characteristics of each stage of the cycle can be defined by use of codes of units 22.1, 22.2, 22.3, 22.4, and, if appropriate, those of units 37, 38, 53, 54, or 8.
