Description

Fir (Abies spp.)-dominated conifer forests of the nemoral and Mediterranean mountains and hills of western Eurasia and North Africa, in regions under Atlantic influence. They are formed either by Abies alba, widespread in the Alpine system and its satelite ranges (units 42.11 to 42.16), or by a number of southern species, mostly of very restricted range (units 42.17 to 42.1A).
