Description

Siliceous rocks and cliffs of lowlands, hills and mountains of nondesert regions of the Palaearctic. Their lichen communities are composed of external crustose lichens (Rhizocarpon), navel lichens (Umbilicaria) and fruticose lichens (Ramalina, Cornicularia, Rhizoplaca).
