Description

Communities of the margins of Palaearctic lakes, rivers, brooks and swamps dominated by Phalaris arundinacea, pure or mixed with Phragmites australis, very tolerant of drying, pollution and perturbance, susceptible of forming the landward belt of reedbeds and often characteristic of degraded systems.
