54.11 - Soft water spring mires

Description

Spring mires of acid or neutral, oligotrophic to eutrophic noncalcareous springs of the Palaearctic domaine. The specialized spring communities belong to the various associations of the Montio-Cardaminetea. The associated swamp communities belong to the Caricetalia fuscae and their presence can be indicated by use, simultaneously with one of the codes of unit 54.11, of a code of unit 54.4.
