Hems of xerothermic mixed oak woods of middle Europe and its sub-Mediterranean approaches, mostly belonging to the Quercetalia pubescenti-petraeae or related groups of communities, extending north to the boreonemoral zone of Fennoscandia, with Geranium sanguineum, Vincetoxicum hirundinaria, Tanacetum corymbosum, Bupleurum falcatum, Bupleurum longifolium, Origanum vulgare, Dictamnus albus, Anthericum ramosum, Fragaria viridis, Anemone sylvestris, Lathyrus pannonicus, Peucedanum officinale, Peucedanum cervaria, Peucedanum alsaticum, Laserpitium latifolium, Polygonatum odoratum, Rosa pimpinellifolia, Trifolium rubens, Clematis recta, Coronilla coronata, Melampyrum cristatum, Campanula bononiensis, Campanula rapunculoides, Campanula persicifolia, Veronica teucrium.
