Transition mire communities of the Palaearctic domaine constituted by the association of forbs, in particular Menyanthes trifoliata, Potentilla palustris (Comarum palustre), Hydrocotyle vulgaris, Cicuta virosa, and sphagna or brown mosses, often in floating carpets, occupying wet areas in mire systems or the terrestrialization zone at the edge of watercourses and waterbodies.
