Description

Bog hollows dominated by Sphagnum lindbergii or, in eastern regions, by the very similar Sphagnum lenense, characteristic of continental and eastern regions of the boreal and subarctic zones of the Palaearctic, from the White Sea area to the Far East, with outposts in the Alps and the Bohemian quadrangle; associates include Sphagnum balticum and Sphagnum papillosum.
