Description

Athalassal decidedly brackish, saline or hypersaline lakes, pools and ditches, their features, their associated pelagic and benthic communities, their beds of macrophytic submerged or offshore vegetation. Included are the large inland "seas", in particular, the Caspian Sea, the Aral Sea, the Dead Sea.
